Fachhochschule Flensburg
The Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany's northernmost university,
originates from a School of Steamship Machinists founded in 1886 for the training
of ship operation engineers. Today approx. 2,800 students are enrolled in the
subjects Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering,
Computer Science, Biotechnology - Process Engineering, Mathematics, Ship Operation,
Marine Engineering, Business Administration, Business Computing and International
Technical Communication. Due to the university's manageable size and campus atmosphere,
